IG BENCH

In the process of projecting the walking trail along the Lonja in Ivanić Grad, the idea of ​​creating concrete IG benches was born with the aim that the residents of the city can fully enjoy walking and relaxing along the river.

The walking trail is 300 cm wide and has rest areas with benches along the trail.

CONTEXT

Residents of Ivanić Grad wanted quality benches around the walking trail that will last and finally, the benches that will not end up in the Lonja River, like their predecessors. So, we designed benches made of hard material as concrete is, material which is proved to be a great ally in the survival of IG benches along the Lonja River.

CONCEPT

Especially for the walking trail, we designed four different types of concrete IG benches and trash bins. The design of IG benches is spherical with soft lines and in white colour, with two or three rays.  In the designing process, we particularly took great care that their appearance fits into the green area and nature around the Lonja river. Also, a 9 mm thick layer of rubber is applied to the sitting area on the benches, so the IG bench could be cozy for sitting and more comfortable resting.

Concrete molds for general elements are property of the city and are used in other public areas in the city.

CURIOSITIES

IG benches, which you can find only in Ivanić Grad, have contributed to strengthening the brand of the city and the visual identity of the entire public city space. The uniqueness of Ivanić Grad is thus recognized in our IG concrete benches.
