D&D EXHIBITION STAND
D&D (Dom i dizajn – Home&Design) is a magazine that promotes topics related to architecture and design in Croatia. The publisher of the magazine is the Jutarnji list, the most widely distributed daily newspaper in Croatia.
CONTEXT
The task was to elaborate a project and a stand for the magazine D&D for the occasion of an annual design exhibition called Day D. The venue is the space of the ex train factory Gredelj in the city center of Zagreb, a facility which is in pretty bad shape and almost borders with dangerous, but it’s still an attractive venue for such occasional events.
D&D wished to represent itself with a fresh, demountable, modular, small stand.
CONCEPT
We have decided to use a recognizable visual identity, their D&D symbol, in a way that the stand structure created curves in space forming a negative D&D sign. The stand is made of Styrofoam EPS 200, and the parts cut with the CNC machine were glued together.
CURIOSITIES
This small and not-so-expensive project is very special to us! We had the freedom to contribute to design and architecture in all phases of this fast process from the idea itself to the final project realization. The teamwork of a group of creative and free people could be felt through a good and fast understanding of the client and the final result.
