CONTEXT

The “Vrbovsko Resort” project in Gorski Kotar envisions the development of a tourist oasis offering accommodation and promoting the growth of sports, cultural, and other activities. The location spans approximately 2.5 hectares and benefits from a strategic position between Zagreb and Rijeka.

CONCEPT

The resort will feature 25 cabins, including 7 “treehouse” cabins, along with supporting facilities such as a restaurant, reception, chapel, wellness center, and sports grounds. The design emphasizes nature conservation and sustainability, with a focus on wooden construction and minimal environmental impact.

CURIOSITIES

The resort is divided into two functional zones – one with active facilities (restaurant, wellness, sports fields), and the other with more peaceful accommodation. A closed wellness complex is planned for year-round use, while vehicle access to the residential zone is minimized to ensure guests’ peace and relaxation.
