LOVAŠKI KRIŽNI PUT

Povezivanjem simboličkog prikaza slavonske oranice s tlocrtno urezanim linijama koje asociraju na latinski križ projekt sadržajno i značenjski ujedinjuje skulpturu i parter u jednu cjelinu. Ova velika pejzažna land art intervencija predstavlja inventivno i suvremeno rješenje koje se stapa s krajolikom udoline.

Projekt asocira na brazdu, odnosno bijeli „ožiljak“ na površini hrvatske zemlje, a sam oblik križa na oprost i kršćansku tradiciju Lovasa. Ovaj metaforički ožiljak ostaje kao trajno lokalno obilježje, prepoznatljivo s male i velike udaljenosti.

Interpretacijski centar je mimikričan, potpuno ukopan u brežuljak s ciljem maksimalnog uvažavanja postojećeg pejzaža i svih značenja koja lokacija u sebi sadrži.
Površina s imenima pojedinačnih žrtava raspoređenim uzduž nakošene plohe bočnog zida jasno se vidi iz perspektive posjetitelja, ali i iz daljine (s ceste i iz automobila). Diskretne refleksije neba, sunca i samih posjetitelja na uglačanom metalu površine slova stvaraju transcendentalan dojam.

Cjelina te kiparsko-arhitektonske intervencije nosi u sebi asocijacije na križni put ratnog stradanja lokalnog stanovništva. Prisutnost posjetitelja na spomen-obilježju – otvorenoj šetnici s navedenim imenima svih tragično preminulih, nevinih ljudi – dodatno naglašava ogoljelost, izloženost i ranjivost pojedinca u odnosu na tragičnu povijest ove lokacije.
Mjesto patnje kroz ovaj projekt postaje mjesto sjećanja, uvjetovano kretanjem kroz svojevrsne postaje do centralnog mjesta komemoracije i štovanja.

 

LOVAS WAY OF THE CROSS

By linking the symbolic representation of the Slavonian plant with planar engraved lines connecting to the Latin cross, the project brings meaningfully and meaningfully united sculpture and parter into one entity. This great landscaping land art intervention is an inventive and contemporary solution that blends with the landscapes of the valley.

The project associates on the slit, or the white “scar” on the surface of the Croatian soil, and it is the form of the cross for forgiveness and the Christian tradition of Lovas. This metaphorical scar remains as a permanent local feature, recognizable from small to large distances.

The Interpretation Center is a mimicry, completely buried in the hills, with a view to maximizing the existing landscape and all the meanings the site contains.
The area with the names of the individual victims placed along the sunken sides of the side wall is clearly visible from the perspective of the visitor but also from the distance (from the road and from the car). The discreet reflections of the sky, the sun, and the visitor’s self on the polished metal surface of the letters create a transcendental impression.

The whole of this sculptural-architectural intervention carries itself into an association of the crossroads of the war of the local population. The visitor’s presence on the memorial – an open promenade with the names of all tragically deceased, innocent people – additionally emphasizes the brutality, exposure and vulnerability of an individual in relation to the tragic history of this location.
The place of suffering through this project becomes a place of memory, conditioned by moving through a sort of station to a central place of commemoration and worship.
